Book Signing for “Saving Our Daughters: From A Man‘s Point of view

To kick off Father’s Day Weekend Actress Nia Long, songwriter Sean Garrett and actor Gary Sturgis signed books at Barnes & Noble this past Friday (June 19, 2009) for girls and boys of the Boys & Girls club of Los Angeles and their father’s.

Sentinel: What are you going to take home from today’s event?

Rosario Arianno: Actually after I asked her my personal question. I am going to talk to my sisters and tell them what she told me and she said, “Follow your own voice and dreams” because I come from divorced parents that they are always there and they really don’t have time to like, be there for us and try to put us up. So I am going to share that.  I have one brother and two sisters.

Sentinel: Tell me what you thought about the event?

LaJoyce Hale: I think the event was like an incredible experience to actually get advice from Nia and how she grew up and how’s life.  And then the book, I mean come on, free book (laughs).  And then she signs it and everybody else signed it.  I think it was awesome”.

Sentinel: When did you first hear about the event?

Linda Penalonzo: Are boys girls staff told us about it and I was excited to come and I am really happy that I came because I wasn’t going to come.  But I am really happy, this is a great experience, I am really happy that I got my book signed and I got to see Nia, it was really good.

Sentinel: What do you think about today’s event?

Michelle Garrison: It was nice, I really liked it.
