Reverend Dr. Elliott J. Mason, Sr. Passes

Reverend Dr. Elliott J. Mason, Sr., Pastor Emeritus of Trinity Baptist Church and Director of World Renewal Ministries, made his transition to his heavenly home early Tuesday morning, March 23rd, 2010.

Dr. Mason served as the Assistant Pastor to Dr. J. L. Caston before being unanimously elected as the Seventh Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church on April 5th, 1962. Dr. Mason served as Pastor of Trinity for twenty-three consecutive years before retiring in 1985.

Dr. Mason, a deeply spiritual man led by God provided excellent leadership to the members of Trinity which numbered over 3,000 at his retirement.

The Home Going Services have been set for Tuesday, March 30th, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church.

He leaves to celebrate his home going, his beloved wife of 65 years, Geraldine Mason, four children; Elliott, Jr., Wanda Aguola, Wayne and Reginald Mason and seven grandchildren and his beloved Trinity Church Family.
