Akon files lawsuit against former business partners

 

*Singer Akon has filed a lawsuit against his former business partners claiming they used his company name for a new perfume without his permission.

The New York Daily News is reporting that Akon, whose entertainment company is called Konvict Music, was recently in negotiations to create and market his own scent, only to learn that his partners went behind his back, formed Konvict Cosmetics International and began selling the fragrance Konvict without his approval.

Akon is demanding the company cease production of its product, according to the lawsuit.
