IN HIS HANDS: After his dominant performance against Mosley, Floyd Mayweather has more to consider than just a proposed super-fight with Manny Pacquiao.

With the exception of that second round hiccup that lifted the hopes of all of his haters that his demise was imminent, Floyd 'Money' Mayweather was brilliant in his plastering of Shane Mosley last Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Mosley almost pulled off the amazing upset with his barrage in round two that buckled Mayweather and left him holding on for dear life after he got caught with a wicked right hand.

It was a shot that few thought Mayweather would get caught with, but few predicted that he would engage Mosley as frequently as he did on his way to improving to 41-0 with a unanimous 12 round decision that left no doubt who the best fighter in the world is today.

The larger question now is how will he capitalize on the victory over the aging faded star Mosley.

The first of course will he fight Manny Pacquiao, the fight the world wants to see? Second is will emerge as a full fore in the promotional aspect of the business? Third, if not Manny then who?

The answer the first is yes. He will fight Pacquiao sometime in the fall or early spring.

Secondly, it is time for Mayweather to stop allowing for Golden Boy Promotions to reap the benefits of his brand name and sharing in the profits, especially now that GBP doesn't not have a stake at the table.

Finally, there are no options outside Pacquiao from a profitability aspect, but remember that Mayweather/Marquez did more than a million pay per view buys. So, if Money wanted to he could stretch Manny into next summer while he fought lesser foes to build his promotional company.

The number from pay per view from the Mosley fight will arrive this week and they could tilt around two million buys. That would rock the boxing world into a Mayweather orbit, not seen since De La Hoya.

So, this week as he takes time out with his children and family to get away from it all, upon his return-not to the ring-he has some huge decisions to make.

His team of The Gov. Al Haymon, adviser Leonard Ellerbe, trainer Roger Mayweatger and slew of bodyguards is a good start.

However, none of them know squat about promoting. Mayweather has used Dan Goossen for a fight or two and this deal with GBP just has a funny smell to it.

If you are going to do your thing as a promoter and you want to squeeze every dollar out of your brand, there is only one name that will strike to fear of God into all of them.

Can you spell Don King? Sure he has been accused by many of ripping them off, but if you can figure out a way to have DK beating your drums, while one of your trusted inner circle men was right there with him, then it would spell game set and match.

It's just a thought, but hey Money, all of cards are in your hands, play what you damn well please...
