The 32nd Cal-Hi Sports all-state team was released and State Player of the Year Allen Crabbe was joined by four other locals on the first team.

Crabbe (Price), Dwayne Polee, Jr. (Westchester), Bryce Jones (Taft), Jordin Mayes (Westchester) and Deonta Burton (Compton Centennial) were selected on the 10-man squad.

Westchester, the two-time defending City Section and Division I state champions, saw a third player selected on the second team in guard Kareem Jamar. Joining Jamar was Price center Richard Solomon and Taft center DeAndre Daniels.

Four locals made the third team as Gardena Serra's backcourt Vaughn Autry and Keith Shamburger, Crenshaw guard Reynaul Baker and Leuzinger junior Amir Garrett. Baker was the first Cougar to make the All-State team in the post Willie West era.

The only team with as many players as Westchester on the All-State team was Santa Ana Mater Dei. Senior guards Gary Franklin and Tyler Lamb made the first team while fellow senior Keala King made the second team.

On the all-state underclass team, Garrett was joined on the first team juniors by Windward forward Wesley Saunders and Long Beach Poly forward Ryan Anderson. The second team included locals Marqise Lee (Serra), Alexis Moore (Poly) and Michaelyn Scott (Washington Prep)

The all-state sophomore team featured Compton forward Anthony January and Dorsey guard Marqueze Coleman. Carson forward Victor Robbins also made the team and with his transfer to Compton, he and January will be a formidable duo the next two seasons.

Crenshaw forward Isaac Hamilton made the freshman team, along with state Freshman of the Year Roschon Prince of Long Beach Poly.
