Former Inglewood Mayoral candidate Lorraine Johnson endorses Danny Tabor for Mayor.

Former Inglewood Mayoral candidate Lorraine Johnson announced her endorsement of Mayor Pro Tem Danny Tabor for Mayor Saturday, July 17 at Tabor's run-off campaign kickoff event. Tabor came in 1st place with 26.24% of the vote in the June 8th primary election and is in a run-off for the August 17 election.

"Danny is an experienced leader with a vision to propel the city of Inglewood to the forefront," announced Johnson. "His plan for creating new jobs and public safety shows his commitment to the residents of the city of Inglewood."

"I am humbled and honored to have the support of Lorraine Johnson," said Tabor. "Anyone who knows Lorraine knows that she is dedicated, committed, and continues to work tirelessly on behalf of the community in making sure that Inglewood truly is the City of Champions."

A daughter of a United States Air Force retiree, Lorraine Johnson has resided in Inglewood for more than two decades where she continues to active in local politics.

Danny Tabor is endorsed by Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, CA State Senators Curren Price (D-26) and Rod Wright (D-25), CA State Assemblymembers Steve Bradford (D-51) and Isadore Hall (D-52), and countless residents, business owners, and residents.

Inglewood voters will go to the polls in a special election on Tuesday, August 17 to elect a new Mayor after former Mayor Roosevelt F. Dorn stepped down after pleading guilty to a public corruption charge.

Daniel "Danny" K. Tabor was re-elected to the Inglewood City Council in June 2007 to represent the 1st Councilmanic District. Councilman Tabor has a long distinguished career in public and private services to his community. He previously served as Senior Community Organizer for the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy; Community Voice-PICO; Coalition for a Better Inglewood, Negotiator for the $500 million dollar Community Benefits Agreement between the Los Angeles World Airports and the LAX Coalition for Economic, Environmental and Educational Justice; and Program Manager with the Community Development Commission, County of Los Angeles.
