Trinity Baptist Church holds Third Annual Blanket Drive with Brian Ferguson leading the way.
It's that time of year again when the weather turns cold and sometimes rainy and wet. To help take the chill of many homeless people who live in the streets of Los Angeles, Brian Ferguson and Trinity Baptist Church are having their 3rd Annual Blanket Drive for the homeless.
Ferguson, a member of Trinity Baptist Church, has found a ministry that leads him to run for the homeless. He has been helping the homeless for the 14 years and ran over 328,856 miles with no plans of easing up.
He has ran in over 50 marathons with all proceeds going to the homeless.
It doesn't stop with blankets, he participates in foot washing and pedicures for the homeless, meals for the homeless, toiletries and grooming for the homeless as well.
This year Brian has already raised over $7,000 dollars he shares modestly. "There are over 80,000 homeless people in Los Angeles so $7,000 is a start."
The 4th Annual Blanket drive helps Ferguson and Trinity Baptist Church increase there giving.
They need your help to give the gift of warmth. The Blanket Drive will take place Saturday Dec. 18 at 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
They are requesting full, king or queen blankets.
Trinity is located at 2040 Jefferson Blvd. in Los Angeles.
