By. M.J Duffy"The story sizzles as Zankli descendant and soldier of fortune, Andre Dunn, and cosmetics heiress, Tyler Mueller, find love. Their passion for each other is ignited in a high- rise conference room, simmers in the African bush, and overcomes decent, treachery and betrayal in the corridors of corporate America. Their flight across continents exposes family secrets and uncovers a legacy of power gifted at the dawn of time." Tyler was a little girl who had spent four years in the Pediatric AIDS Ward at Olive View Hospital before she was misdiagnosed with HIV. Mr. and Mrs. Price first knew that they wanted to have a home for foster and adopted children when Mr. Price was reading the Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper and had stumbled upon an article that discussed how more than two hundred and fifty children of color are housed in County facilities, and go unplaced in foster homes with adoptive parents annually. The touching article that went into detail, revealed how many of the children in foster homes ended up spending their entire childhood lives under foster care and reminded Mr. Price of how he was once one of those children and was raised in that same sterile environment. The mix up had much controversy around, it but Tyler was brought into the home of the Prices. By the time Tyler joined the Price's household, some additions to the family were already made. Three foster children had then been adopted and the Price's had their own two natural children. All children in the home ranged from the ages of two to fourteen. When Tyler was first welcomed into her new home, everyone warmly accepted her except her also-adopted brother Lonnie who had been with the family for five years. Lonnie had a dark and envious attitude to him. He was ten years old, and during his years with the Price family had never opened up. Maybe it was his parents being addicted to crack, or his father attempting to kill his mother with a gun and injuring Lonnie, or maybe Lonnie was just cold and emotionless. This was only the beginning of Lonnie's life obsessed with hatred towards Tyler. At twelve years old Tyler was taken away by Children's Services. Tyler's birth mother decided that she wanted Tyler back and since Tyler was only under foster care with the Price family it was not illegal to do so. When Tyler met her mother for the first time she saw that her mother was confined to a wheel chair and was very fragile. Tyler's mother wanted to give her something, something that the book later reveals. As Tyler ages she becomes more beautiful, smarter, and successful. At twenty seven, Tyler was now one of the wealthiest women in the world and a majority stock holder of a popular cosmetics distribution firm. During her successful life, Tyler never forgets where she came from. She frequently still had Sunday dinner with the Price family and was very active with her adopted siblings. One Sunday, at dinner, Lonnie had an outburst and cursed obscene language at Tyler and her family, and gave Tyler a look that had reached so deep into her soul it hurt. That was the last time she thought she would ever see of Lonnie.Tyler soon meets Andre Dunn. Andre is a Navy Seal that is later hired as her personal security when she began to get death-threatening letters and calls from an unknown person. Since their first encounter, neither of them had lost thought of each other, and the more time they spent together the more the two fell for each other. Andre is hired to protect and serve Tyler, but as his love for her grows, the danger rises. Will they be able to express their love for one another without either one of them getting hurt physically or emotionally?
