Ginuwine Opens Second Season of Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza Concert Series BHCP Live!Ginuwine
After a brief holiday hiatus, one of the southland’s most successful concert series, Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza Live! (BHCP Live!) returns January 6th with multi-platinum recording artist Ginuwine.
Best known for collaborations with hip-hop producer Timbaland and fallen R&B angel Aaliyah, Ginuwine delivers a unique blend of urban soul music. He will perform chart-toppers like Pony, So Anxious and In Those Jeans, among others, during a one hour set that begins at 7 p.m. The pre-show hosted by KJLH starts at 6:30 p.m.
Ginuwine's new album ELGIN is slated for a February 15 release and includes the hit singles What Could Have Been, Batteries featuring Trina and Heaven.
Launched with the simple goal of providing quality entertainment to the residents of the Crenshaw District and south Los Angeles, the series affectionately know as BHCP Live! is now one of the city’s most anticipated events. Drawing intimate audiences ranging in size from 200-300 for local artists Sy Smith, Medusa and Supa Lowery Bros, BHCP Live! attendance has exceeded 1K for national acts like Goapele and Sheila E.
In the past year, the series has featured a diverse array of talent like Lalah Hathaway, Rashaan Patterson, Jon B, Kev Mo, Fenis Tasby and Lucky 7 Mambo to list only a few. A testament to the quality of the performances, artists like Rachelle Ferrell, Vesta Williams, Toni Scruggs and the Tonight Show’s Rickey Minor are turning up at BHCP Live! to sit in with the band or show their support for the popular music series.
BHCP Live! is a free, bi-weekly concert series held at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza. For more information or a list of upcoming events please visit www.crenshawplaza.com.
