What I mean by negativity is not only the negative situations we often find ourselves in. But, negative thinking as well. Most people see life as a series of problems than opportunities. Negativity is manifested by a particular conditioning imposed upon the psychic, through a series of extreme physical and psychological apparatuses that are administered through external stimuli. Things happen in life and it is your mind that chooses to interpret them as negative or positive. And because we have been conditioned not to look for the positive in all situations, we have the tendency to interpret temporary obstacles in our path as something larger, a setback or even a crisis. Often, what seems like a negative, or something bad to us, is merely a series of events that are new, and heard to figure out. You cannot make sense of this apparent disorder if you are focused on the negative. Trust and believe when one door closes, another door or window open. However, if you have your eyes clouded in tears of negativity, you will not be able to see it.

Its something about turning a negative into a positive that make you feel rewardly engaged in life. Mentally framing a negative event as a blessing in disquise, makes it easier for you to move forward. It is a kind of mental alchemy, transforming lemons into lemon-aid per se. Acquiring this mental process to view negative situations as a challenge, an opportunity to prove your worth, the chance to strengthen and toughen yourself, is mental richness'. We always have the power to choose what we will think. We also have the power to refuse to think what is unpleasant, and what does not feel good. Negative thoughts come up out of habit, but being selective about what we think, once we recognize a thought as negative we can immediately refuse to consider it any further. This is a phenomenal power, yet so few of us use it.

The key to turning negatives into positives leads to the positive qualities of self-reliance, patience, supreme self-confidence and on and on. We are currently in a recession, but through out history some of the greatest inventions and advancements in technology or business, generally come in negative periods, because there is a greater necessity for creative and positive thinking. The problem is that most people absorb the problems of experience, instead of the benefits. I offer these positive words as a window through which I have come to see life, even with being-bound in a place that most people consider the epicenter of negativity.
