Dr. Robbie Horton

Chief Apostle Dr. Robbie Horton recently passed away after preaching the word of God for over 39 years. He was an Apostle, professor, counselor, author, and community activist.

Under the ministry umbrella of IAM Fellowship, he was not only overseer of churches, but also the founder of Anointed Connection/A.O.C.O International Ministries. As pastor of Anointed Connection, he impacted communities throughout Southern California.

In 1995, Dr. Horton was anointed Chief Apostle by the presbytery of his peers, which included apostles, pastors, and evangelists, who saw the need to be under the covering of a Chief Apostle. This distinction led him to establish and oversee churches and ministries throughout the world.

As Prelate/Overseer of I.A.M. Fellowship International Anointed Ministries, Dr. Horton was the covering for pastors, ministries, outreaches and missions throughout the United States. In addition, he was a prayer covering to ministries in the Philippines, South America, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean Islands, India, The United Kingdom, Europe, India, Africa, Australia, the Pacific Islands, and Hong Kong.

Locally, he was active with several ministries and organizations including Jeremiah House, where he served as a counselor; Flames of Victory, an H.I.V. Outreach; President of Youth 4 Excellence; X-Unit, an urban reform for gang members and drug lords; Max AM I, a production and communication company; and involvement with Two Hearts and One Culture and the Judeo Christian Task Force/South Central LA.

Dr. Horton believed that education is the path to excellence, and Christian education is the path of impact for purpose and destiny. He attended Bishop Henry Lois Ford School of Theology and was ordained a minister in Chicago, Illinois. He obtained his B.A., M.S. and PhD degrees from MTI Church of God Pentecostal in Inglewood, California. He was a professor at Ministerial Training Institute (MTI) for twelve years.

Dr. Horton diligently and faithfully pastored for twenty-seven years through the ministry of Anointed Connection/A.O.C.O. (Abundance of Christ Outreach) International Ministries. The ministry was mandated to establish, strengthen, secure and inspire believers in the Christian faith with a vision of God and His kingdom. His motto was ‘Securing Households That They May Become Strongholds. Reaching Nations and Preparing Generation.'

Dr. Horton touched many lives in the Southern California area through Christian radio for over twenty-seven years. Also, many souls were partakers of life-changing experiences via cable television and satellite radio heard on four continents and the Internet on StreamingFaith.com. In addition, Dr. Horton produced several theatrical plays in the Southern California area, and is the author of the books, ‘Faith for This 21st Century,' ‘How to Have a Prayer Life,' and ‘Kingdomize Me!'

His survivors include seven children, Edward, Chantay, Robin, Nicole, Ivan, Robbie and Ti-Mirr; four daughters-in-law, Danielle Horton, Jatisha Horton, Marty Horton and Crystal Horton; one sister, Dr. Delores Lipscomb; two brothers, Dr. Arthur Horton and Walter Horton; thirteen grandchildren, two nephews, two nieces, and a host of family and friends.

The Homegoing Celebration for Dr. Horton was officiated by Apostle Lloyd Benson of World Link of Churches and Ministries (WLCM) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The service was held May 26 at Love and Unity Christian Fellowship in Compton where Apostle Ronald C. Hill is the pastor.
