Cora King
December 23, 1919-June 10, 2011

Mrs. King was a leader in the Los Angeles community. Mrs. King began her career in fashion working in the movie studios in design. She then transition into real estate and a multiply of other successful businesses.

Mrs. King was also a leader in philanthropic endeavors that included the co-founding of Palms Residential Care Facility, an organization that has help thousands address health (HIV/AIDS), substance recovery and housing.

Mrs. King's generosity also supported hundreds of children and young people to gain or further their education. This educational support extended internationally as well as in the local Los Angeles area. Mrs. King was also a principle along with Jackson Limousine in the Annual Turkey Give Away that feed over 10,000 families at Thanksgiving.

Service will be held Friday, June 17, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at First AME Church of Los Angeles 2270 South Harvard Blvd., Los Angeles, California 90018
