The Wellness Group, under the direction of Founder and Executive Director, Michelle Moore Bell, is a grassroots health awareness organization, run by volunteers. The Wellness Group was established to help decrease breast cancer mortality among African American women in the Los Angeles communities by providing quality breast health education; promoting early detection through breast self examinations, mammography services and clinical breast examinations in the underserved communities. The group's mission is to educate, inform and empower women about breast health and healthy lifestyles.
For the past nine years, The Wellness Group has collaborated with community-based and faith-based organizations and has become nationally recognized within the beauty industry and a critical resource for the African American community.
