Reasby Family at service

Reasby family outside FAME church

The legacy of Edwynar Paley Reasby was recently saluted at First A.M.E. Church (FAME) as family and friends gathered to reflect upon her life.

A passionate and dedicated educator, Reasby was the daughter of Roosevelt J. Paley, the first Black federal probation officer on the west coast, and Lucille Wilkins Paley.  She was also the great-granddaughter of John Wesley Wilkins, Sr., a founding trustee of FAME.

In recognition of Reasby’s active involvement as a member of FAME, Pastor J. Edgar Boyd held a special ceremony to present a memorial resolution to her family.
