Christian brothers take center stage at the Annual Men's Day Services at Curry Temple C.M.E. Church on Sunday, December 11, at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Sponsored by Curry's Ministry to Men (MTM) auxiliary, the program will highlight the role of godly males in the church and community, according to Pastor Byron L. Smith, Sr. The theme is ‘Adam? Where Are You?' The scripture reference is Genesis 3:9. "The MTM Ministry, headed by Brothers Bruce Snead and Johnny Lindsey, is committed to fulfilling God's directive of spreading the ‘good news' in our efforts to be of service throughout the area," said Pastor Smith.
"We extend an invitation to each and everyone to come out and join us in thanking God for the many great things that He has done for us."
The guest preachers are Rev. Charles Dorsey at the morning service and Rev. Harold Vann II at the afternoon program. Rev. Dorsey is an associate minister at Christ Our Redeemer A.M.E. Church in Irvine led by Pastor Mark Whitlock. Rev. Vann is the founding pastor of Refuge Christian Church in Los Angeles. Both ministers are graduates of the Claremont School of Theology.
Curry Temple is located at 322 West Rosecrans Avenue in Compton. For information, call the church office at (310) 632-8104.
