Gospel icon Dorinda Clark Cole will join Bishop Craig A. Worsham in welcoming Christian singers, musicians, praise dancers and play writers to the inaugural Los Angeles Singers & Musicians Arts Conference (SMAC).
The three-day symposium opens Thursday, December 5, and continues through Saturday, December 7, at People’s Independent Church, 5856 West Boulevard in Los Angeles.
“The People’s Independent family is proud to host this exciting conference,” said Bishop Worsham, senior pastor. “Ms. Cole founded the SMAC 14 years ago and presents regional programs across the nation.
“We invite aspiring artists to attend and learn the keys to advancing their careers from established performers.”
The agenda features workshops, talent showcase, and leading artists as guest speakers. Also, Cole and Tasha Lockhart Page will perform on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The donation is $10. On Friday at 7 p.m., Pastors Beverly Crawford and Jay Haizlip of Oxygen’s ‘Preachers of LA’ will deliver sermons.
Other participants include Terry Hunt of WEtv’s ‘LA Hair,’ Pastor Nisan Stewart, Pastor Calvin B. Rhone, Adam Ranney of Jentezen Franklin’s Free Chapel Church, Louie Guitierrez of GB5, Eric Dawkins, Shep Crawford, and Neily Dickerson.
