Eastern Ridgeline trail is a welcomed addition to the Kenneth Hahn State Recreation area and gives visitors more opportunities to get fit, spend time with family and enjoy a scenic view.

The new Eastern Ridgeline trail at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area will be more accessible to all the communities that live on its east side – including the residents of View Park and Windsor Hills.

Along the scenic Eastern Ridgeline trail, visitors will find amenities that include a play area tailored for families; four fitness zones with exercise equipment; child-friendly animal sculptures; benches for relaxation; and native, drought-tolerant landscaping. The project also includes accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and a new crosswalk at the “five points” intersection of La Brea Avenue, Stocker Street and Overhill Drive.

This exciting addition to the existing trail network at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area was made possible by a partnership between Chairman Ridley-Thomas’ office, the Los Angeles County Chief Executive office, the Baldwin Hills Conservancy, the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Department of Public Works.
