Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church plans a Gospel Musical Celebration on Sunday, May 19, at 3 p.m., at 510 West 53rd Street in Los Angeles.
The program, sponsored by the Mayflower Month Group, will feature selections by Pastor Renandez Grim, Ronnie Martin, and Shannon Tillman of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Compton.
Other performers are Aidan Troupe, Corynne Terry-Etuk, Shirley Moss, Good Shepherd Praise Dancers, Nora Rae Zollar-Taylor, Good Shepherd Praise Team, the Mabel Griffin Family, Joyce Dunlap, and Michaela McCluster. Tina Dennis of First A.M.E. Church in Los Angeles will serve as emcee.
“Come and be blessed in this evening of worship as we lift up the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and give Him all the glory that He alone deserves,” said Program Chair Norma J. Taylor.
Pastor Grim accepted the call to preach at age 21 and was ordained in 1989. He previously served more than 15 years as the pastor of First Sweet Home Baptist Church.
A graduate of Cal State University-LA, Pastor Grim earned his master’s degree at the University of Phoenix. He also completed several classes at Western Theological Seminary in Compton.
Pastor Grim is a Marriage and Family Therapist and co-proprietor of GW Transportation Services that carries young cancer survivors to educational and extracurricular activities throughout the city.
