Seeking the fullness of God in their lives, nearly 1,000 people came out to the ‘Women Under Construction’ Conference on April 20 at Crenshaw Christian Center (CCC).
The day-long program, hosted by Dr. Betty Price, presented dynamic speakers, powerful sessions, uplifting music and an array of vendors.
“My desire is to encourage women to live for God. The only real life you can have is in Him,” said Dr. Price.
“I know many women have needs and don’t know what to do when they’re going through certain things. I’ve been through so much during my 60 years in ministry and I just want to help women,” she explained.
“This conference is designed to motive and inspire women to stir up the gift within so they can fulfill God’s purpose for their lives.”
Keynote speaker Cheryl A. Price headlined the ‘Women of Purpose’ general assembly, CCC First Lady Angel Price focused on ladies ages 18 to 35 in the ‘Women of Destiny’ workshop, and Angela Price Evans reviewed the promises of God during the ‘Women of Holiness’ session.
Other presenters included Minister Brenda Daniel addressing ‘Women of Courage,’ Dr. Jean Perez expounding on ‘Women of Prayer,’ Minister Sharon Simmons discussing ‘Women of Obedience,’ Dr. Laverne Tolbert outlining ‘Women of Commitment,’ and First Lady Myesha Chaney of Antioch Church of Long Beach conducting the music ministry.
‘Your Sister’s Closet’ was another popular feature of the conference. The organization provided free clothing and accessories to attendees. Also, the vendor fair offered fashions, jewelry, art, and food as well as information on personal trainers, mortgage lenders, and supplemental insurance.
