Dear Community Partners,
On Saturday, April 27, 2013, NBC4 Southern California will take part in Comcast Cares Day, an annual company-wide day of community service.  Comcast Cares Day gives everyone in the local community the opportunity to help others. This year Comcast/NBCU is partnering with City Year Los Angeles and the American Heart Association Teaching Gardens to beautify Barack Obama Preparatory Academy in Los Angeles.
We invite you, your family and friends to join us on April 27, anytime between 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m., to help build and plant a real-life learning laboratory for students to teach them what it means to be healthy. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by a kick-off ceremony at 9 a.m. with NBCUniversal executives including Bob Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment, and Steve Carlston, president and general manager for NBC4 Southern California.
Volunteers will spend the day painting educational and college-themed murals to transform the school into an exciting place for students to learn and encourage them to think about the possibilities for their future. A complimentary continental breakfast and lunch will also be served. To sign up to volunteer and for more information, please visit www.nbcunivolunteers.com
We hope to see you there!
