The Washington Prep. Magnet Arts Program Delivers Jazzin At the Prep, an event held at LAUSD’s Washington Preparatory High School, and hosted by Washington’s retiring Magnet Arts coordinator Stan Jackson.
Opening the show was Washington’s Shayla Turner who sung the opening song "Summertime,” originally performed by Ella Fitzgerald.
City Sound Band (Below) lead by band director Nethaniel Lewis (not pictured), pumps out Etta James’ “At Last” to an eager crowd.

The event filled the Dream Theater and the Washington Prep Courtyard with music, food and fun. Parents, alumni, teachers and administration were in attendance, as well as, celebrity guest and Washington Prep Alumni, Yolanda “YoYo Whittaker.
