“THE X FACTOR” OPEN-CALL AUDITIONS IN LOS ANGELES

TO BE HELD WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6 AT THE GALEN CENTER

THE X FACTOR open-call auditions are coming to University of Southern California’s Galen Center in Los Angeles, CA. Below you will find specific details about registration and auditions, as well as important dates for available press opportunities.

The first round of open-call auditions will take place on Wednesday, March 6^th. Wristbands will be distributed to auditioners from approximately 8:00 AM on Monday, March 4^th until approximately 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 6^th. Auditioners will not be permitted to camp out. Once auditioners obtain their wristbands, they will be asked to return to The Galen Center by 7:00 AM on Wednesday, March 6^th for their audition.

*Only press who pre-promote the auditions will be granted credentials for the auditions.

WHEN: Wednesday, March 6 – AUDITIONS

**Please note that these times are subject to change.

· Media check-in for the auditions will begin at 7:00 AM.

· Press opportunities include: B-roll; photos; interviews with auditioners and their friends/family members in line before their auditions, as well as OUTSIDE the arena after their auditions; and interviews/photos with an available producer and talent from THE X FACTOR (pending availability).

· NOTE: Contestants who do make it through to the next round of auditions may not sing for the cameras after their audition. Those contestants who do not make it through can sing for the cameras after their audition (outside the stadium) if they would like.

· NO MEDIA WILL BE PERMITTED INSIDE THE VENUE DURING THE AUDITIONS. THEREFORE, NO MEDIA WILL BE PERMITTED TO FILM OR PHOTOGRAPH THE CONTESTANTS DURING THEIR AUDITIONS.

A producer and any available talent will be on-site to conduct a brief press conference to explain the audition process (pending availability). Your crew must be self-contained; no additional power will be provided. Please note that the judges are not available during this round.
