The Los Angeles Urban League held an Open House to meet and greet new President & CEO Nolan V. Rollins, the 7th leader in the agency’s 92-year history. The event was hosted by the honorable Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, Police Commissioner and League President Emeritus John W. Mack and League Board Chair and President, UPS Central District Noel Massie. More than 200 community leaders and residents attended the welcome for Rollins, at the League’s Headquarters on Mount Vernon Drive. In remarks, Rollins emphasized the League’s commitment to economic and community development, youth and education, policy and social justice. Rollins will preside at the 40th Whitney M. Young, Jr. Awards Dinner on April 26, featuring keynote speaker Gen. Colin Powell, USA (Ret.).
