Narbonne’s football team has been racking up titles, winning the last two City championships, and they shared the title in 2008.  In girl’s basketball, they have been just as successful, as they are also going for a repeat title.  Since head coach Victory Sanders took over in 2008 they have won two championships, and the only year under her guidance that they missed the City finals was in 2009.

Narbonne had a championship team from the start of the season, but Fairfax is looking to knock them off again.  Last year in the City title game Fairfax was in control for the first half as they built a 10-point lead.  Narbonne battled back, and the second half was extremely close, but Narbonne was able to hit clutch shots to take home the City championship.

Narbonne has been in Fairfax’s positions.  Before they won the title last season, they had been knocked off by Carson two years in a row in the championship game.  The losses hurt, but it eventually led them to the title.  Fairfax has playoff experience, so this should be another great game.

Tip off is at 6 p.m. at Cal State Dominguez Hills.  The game will be broadcast live on Time Warner.
