It was you, it was me, it was every man
We've all got the blood on our hands
We only receive what we demand
And if we want hell then hell is what we'll have
My condolences to the victims in Connecticut. Humanity has manifested a complete disrespect for life within our society. The force produced from this lack of respect is subtle, we barely notice it, but it grows as each day passes. It grows within our indifference to everyday cruelty. We chose to overlook madness whenever possible, relieving ourselves of responsibility by saying, "That's just the way the world is." We make movies, television shows, and video games that are based solely on murder, is that the world or is that us? People are killing other people daily in wars over seas and in the streets of our own neighborhoods, is that the world or is that us? There are twenty children dead today along with six adults, is that the world or is that us? As humans we are obsessed with violence, and we get what we ask for. I for one, vow from this day forward, to only contribute to a world of love, peace, and happiness. And if this world is to change, we must all do the same or continue to suffer the consequences.
