“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” a neighbor of mine once said. Life is sometimes sweet and joyful, yet, there are other times when life is sour and painful.
More recently, the news has spoken of both triumph and tragedy. We are not unfamiliar with either. Yet, in these times, we have to hold on to our faith more than ever, through the good and the bad, regardless of where we land.
There have been many challenges facing our nation and our world as a whole, especially within the past few weeks. When we look at the situations we encounter day-to-day and then glance at the issues that exist beyond our four walls, we realize that we have to hold on to someone greater than we ourselves. That is when we realize our need for God. He can pull us through any situation or circumstance, regardless of what it may be, showing us His Glory in the process.
Pause for a moment and savor the thoughts, “What do I need to trust God for today? In what ways do I need to exercise my faith?” Are you thinking about a goal that you need to obtain for the benefit of yourself and/or others around you? Go forth and put actions behind those thoughts.
You have the victory if only you would lay claim of it! Have faith and know that God is mightier than any challenge or obstacle that may come your way. Nothing can stand in the way between you and your destiny!
Life’s road may not always be smooth, but the bumps cannot be enough to overthrow us. As we go through our day-to-day journey, we must keep the faith to maintain a steady pace toward the goals that we have set out to obtain.
Remember to focus on what is important rather than wavering on the thoughts that may take you away from what God has put you on this earth to do.
