Local treasure Harold & Belle’s Creole Restaurant is celebrating their 40th anniversary with a luncheon on Friday, November 20.
The event will begin at 12 p.m. with a press conference and the luncheon will follow immediately after.
Harold & Belle’s has been a landmark since it was established in 1969 by New Orleans transplants Harold and Belle Legaux as a place for friends to socialize. Located at 2900 West Jefferson Blvd, it has since grown into one of the most popular places for authentic Creole food in Los Angeles.
Now run by Legaux’s grandson Ryan, the place has continued its tradition of creating a comfortable atmosphere for its fine dining while adapting to the times, recently introducing happy hour and free wireless internet for customers.
At a time when most business are struggling to stay afloat in the economy, Harold and Belle’s has not only done so, they’ve continued to employ the same number of workers while adjusting schedules as to not let anyone go.
It’s a celebration of restaurant whose legacy and reputation have gone far behind the boundaries of the city. To make reservations for the luncheon, please contact the restaurant at (323) 735-9023.
