“Green” Jobs Event for Students and Young Professionals to Turn Passion for Environment into a Career
Amidst California’s double digit unemployment gloom, at least one “hot” industry shows significant promise: according to estimates, between 52,000Â and 114,000 green jobs will be created in the state by 2010. To promote educational and career planning for individuals passionate about environmental sustainability and pursuing careers in engineering and/or , Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions is hosting a free Green Graduate Programs and Career Opportunities event, open to all students in the L.A. area. Panelists from several local graduate programs and companies will discuss opportunities for those aspiring to make a positive impact on our planet’s ecosystems and natural resources. Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions will sponsor representatives from the following organizations in a panel discussion:
- UCLA’s Leaders in Sustainability Program
- Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and
- USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering
- Loyola Marymount University’s Environmental Science Department

- Heal the Bay
