Forgiving for Living, Inc. to Hold 2nd Annual PLUS Awards Luncheon & Auction at Beverly Hills Hotel
Personal Services Plus, Inc. & Mistress of Ceremonies, Vanessa Bell Calloway will host the 2nd Annual PLUS Awards Luncheon. The illustrious Beverly Hills Hotel will once again provide the scenic backdrop of this year’s Luncheon on Saturday, April 25. This year’s entertainment provided by jazz sensations, Mark Allen Felton (“Panther”) and Jacques Lesure. Reception and Silent Auction begin at 11 AM, and Lunch and Program begin at 12 PM. All proceeds go to Forgiving for Living, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization concentrated on resolving issues of hate, anger, bitterness and the inability to forgive.
This year’s event chair is Danny Bakewell Jr. of the Los Angeles Sentinel. This year’s honorees are comprised of individuals that encompass the spirit of Forgiving for Living as they have led others to the path of reconciliation, forgiveness and healing. This year’s honorees are: Bunny Wilson, author and motivational speaker; Tony Wafford, president-National Action Network, Los Angeles; Ms. Shabazz, founder-Pilgrimage Foundation; Lois Buckman, president-Regalettes, Inc.; Dorothy Randle, business development manager-LAMBOC; and Jasmyne Cannick, journalist and activist.
Forgiving For Living, Inc. is a nonprofit organization designed to promote and restore mental wellness and self-esteem by providing mentorship and resources to individuals that have dealt with abuse, violence, abandonment, low self-esteem and hate. FFL offers solutions to issues of hate, anger, and bitterness by encouraging growth, understanding and forgiveness. Born from the tumultuous experiences of her childhood, Founder and Executive Director, Wendy Gladney has been helping countless young women restore their self worth and confidence through mentorship, counseling and intervention for over 10 years. Her mission is to inspire and empower women to thrive despite negative circumstances.
