Forgiving For Living Host 2nd Annual Healthy Wealthy and Wise Conference

Forgiving for Living a local community non-profit dedicated to educating and providing a better quality of life for young women will host its second annual Healthy, Wealthy and Wise Conference for young ladies between the ages of 13 and 18. 

This year’s conference which is free for all who attend is sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank, The California Endowment and Southern California Edison, Verizon, US Bank and Broadway Federal Bank and is designed to teach young women about Financial literacy, personal growth, health and wisdom.

This event, which will be held on Saturday, September 14, will be hosted at the DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton in Culver City.  This year’s Mistress of Ceremonies will be Ms. Starlett Quarles, president of Urban X Marketing and host of The Dialogue radio program.  Speakers for the conference will include Azure Antoinette Alchemist and Commissioned Writer as well as Diedra Wayans, CEO of Wayans Gyrl Productions.Forgiving for Living was founded by Wendy Gladney-Dean who also serves as the organizations president and CEO in 1992 for the purpose of empowering women through forgiveness. As a child she was the victim of sexual abuse by her father and, at the same time, abandoned by her birth mother. Over the years, Wendy developed strategies for healing that allowed her to break down the walls of hurt and pain and eventually learn how to forgive. She shares how to embrace happiness, experience joy, and live a fulfilled life without hatred. She learned how to go from victim to victorious and her mission is to help others do the same.  Dean is a noted author, philanthropist, community activist and businesswoman who has dedicated her life to the betterment of our community.
