Dr. Giovanna Brasfield Receives Educational Excellence Award

Each year the Phylaxis Society honors individuals at their Annual 4B Recognition Luncheon, who excel in the areas of books, ballots, bucks and brotherhood. On Sunday, June 13, the Inland Empire Chapter of the Phylaxis Society, honored Dr. Giovanna Brasfield for her contribution to research and development in the field of education. “I am honored to be recognized by such an organization that was created to enlighten and inspire research, I only hope that my research will continue to add to the existing body of knowledge in the field of education”, said Brasfield.

Initially, Brasfield made strides in education from being awarded two Doctorates degrees from the University of La Verne and since has contributed to educational research, program development and organizational leadership.

The Phylaxis Society was founded in 1973 as an international organization of Prince Hall Freemasons dedicated to studying the life of Prince Hall and researching the history of Prince Hall Freemasonry. The Phylaxis Society was designed to create a bond of union for Masonic writers and to educate Universal Freemasonry and in doing so they continue to recognize individuals within the community for their commitment to excellence.
