National Women’s History Month will be observed on Sunday, March 25, at 10:30 a.m., at Curry Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 322 West Rosecrans Avenue in Compton.

The theme is ‘Women’s Education: Women’s Empowerment for The 21st Century Church!’

“We invite the public to attend this service sponsored by our Public Relations Department to honor the outstanding women of Curry. Our guest speaker is the Rev. Najuma Smith-Pollard, an outstanding orator for this special historic occasion,” said Pastor Byron L. Smith.

Rev. Smith-Pollard is the minister of Family Ministries at Christ Our Redeemer A.M.E. Church where the Rev. Mark E. Whitlock II is the pastor.

Mrs. Bettye F. Nichols, public relations director, added, “The honorees will be awarded Achievement Certificates and everyone attending will receive a Women’s History Month Bookmark.”
