CMEs Host ‘Seven Last Words’

Bishop James B. Walker

Bishop James B. Walker, presiding prelate of the Ninth Episcopal Region of the C.M.E. Church, will join with six ministers to present ‘The Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross.’

The service, sponsored by the Southern California Ministerial Alliance, takes place on Friday, March 29, at 12 noon, at Hays Tabernacle C.M.E. Church, 10121 South Central Avenue in Los Angeles.

Preaching the messages (in order of appearance) are Pastor Oliver E. Buie of Christ Temple C.M.E., Pastor Susie Jones of Yahweh’s House of Prayer, Bishop Walker, Pastor Marrix Seymore of Amos Temple C.M.E., Pastor John Deron Johnson of Calvary C.M.E. and presiding elder of the Los Angeles/San Diego District, the Rev. Joseph C. Gardner, Sr., and Pastor Bernard M. Jackson of Phillips Temple C.M.E.

The Rev. Julio Andujo is the host pastor and presiding elder of the Los Angeles District and the Rev. Gardner is the Alliance president.
