The Baptist Ministers’ Conference of Los Angeles and Southern California (BMC) will host a Benefit Worship Service for the Rev. Dr. E. Wayne Gaddis, Sr., on Sunday, August 11, at 6:30 p.m.

According to BMC President Xavier L. Thompson, the program will take place at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 4269 South Figueroa Street in Los Angeles. The Rev. Dr. Melvin V. Wade, Sr., is the host pastor.

“Dr. Gaddis, pastor of the Greater True Light Baptist Church in Los Angeles and president of the California Missionary Baptist State Convention, has been facing serious health challenges, resulting in several surgeries and a long hospital stay,” said President Thompson.

“Needless to say, the medical cost is enormous and continues to increase. He needs the support of the Body of Christ and we have an opportunity to bless him, his wife and family in this very serious time of need.”

Monetary donations should be made payable to Dr. Gaddis or mailed to Dr. E. Wayne Gaddis, c/o BMCLA, 4678 West Adams Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90016. For more information, call (323) 731-2703.
