Blackmon Performs at Upcoming Concert

Legendary broadcaster Pres Blackmon will emcee and perform on Sunday, November 17, at 6 p.m., at the 22nd Annual Singing Ministers’ Concert held at Price Chapel A.M.E. Church, 4000 West Slauson Avenue in Los Angeles.

Joining Blackmon will be 13 preachers singing hymns, gospel and contemporary selections, according to Pastor Cedric V. Alexander.

“The community is invited to this God-praising program sponsored by our Trustee Board.  You will rejoice in the Lord as you enjoy their awesome vocal talents,” he said.

Mrs. Faye Edmond is the event chairperson and Mrs. Virginia Damon-Carmichael is the co-chairperson.

The singers include the Rev. N.W. Martin of New Life Institutional Baptist, the Rev. Mervel Warren of First New Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist, Pastor Kenneth Baker of Bethel A.M.E. – Perris, Pastor Michael Eagle, Sr., of Grant A.M.E. – Long Beach, Pastor Mary Minor of Murph Chapel/St. Paul A.M.E. Church – Valinda, Pastor Taurus Myhand of Ward A.M.E., and Pastor Gregory K. McLeod of Brookins Community A.M.E.

Other participants are the Rev. Shirley LaCour of Bethel A.M.E. –LA, the Rev. Clarence Devereaux of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist, and the Rev. Magdaline Milsap of Christian Unity Missionary Baptist, the Rev. Adell McDaniel of Union Missionary Baptist, the Rev. Kenneth Breaux of Anaheim and the Rev. Dr. Jules Bagneris of Los Angeles.
